Book Fair Week 26th-30th September

Exciting times ahead!!! Next week the Scholastic book fair will be set up in the school library. Books will be available to buy every day, so bring your mum or dad in to have a look at all the exciting new books on display!

Rugby World Cup 2011 Display

Come and check out the display in the library for the next few weeks. See which countries are playing in Nelson and learn a few interesting facts about those countries. And of course see some photos of our own All Blacks. Go The All Blacks!

New Books for this Week

 Phoebe and the Night Creatures

A great story about a little girl who needs to go to the toilet in the middle of the night, but is too scared to go because of all the creatures she imagines are in the hallway.
This book is by the very clever NZ author Jenny Hessell. She is the author of the Grandma McGarvey series of books.

Latest display in the library

This week in the library the display on the wall is Pets. Come and have a look at the interesting facts that you may not have known about the pets you have at home. Keep an eye out in the library for the next exciting topic that the whole school is studying. The display will be on the wall in the next couple of weeks!

New Zealand Post Book Award Winners 2011

Finally the books that we all voted on last term have been judged and here are the winners. Once again Margaret Mahy is a winner with her book The moon and Farmer McPhee, being judged the NZ Post book of the year and also the best picture book winner.
